4 Texas Spring Petrified Wood Limb Casts that became agate. The 4 specimens weigh about 14.8 oz. The longest Measures about 4" long and shortest is about 2 3/8" long. All have a nice Polished on one side. Some one asked for more info so here it is from a Google search: "This wood is Tertiary about 26 million years old and was created when the Yellowstone caldera erupted and sent a huge pyroclastic flow over our land, knocking down pinon, juniper, and cedar, as well as all the other pine of the era." Other info says: Elko County, Nevada Age: 26-30 million years Oligocene Period. Oligocene epoch , third epoch of the Tertiary period in the Cenozoic era of geologic time, lasting from 38 to 24 million years ago.
