Gold-July August and early September 2009

Just back from the third trip in 3 months to the Yuba River for some gold prospecting. All three times we spent a week on the river. Different people went with me and all found gold. We used vacuum cleaners this month as SB 670 passed so no suction dredging is now allowed in the state of Calif. More gold pickers were found with the vacuum cleaners than was dredging last time on the river. Was invited up to a claim on the Kanaka Creek in Sierra County and hope to prospect on that claim next year. Did pick up a few great colored rocks on the Kanaka Creek claim and do plan on making some slabs to post on this site I hope by next week. With cooler weather in the works next month, turquoise and Petrified Tule-Reed we will be collecting from Calif. I also have to collect some lbs of Schorl someone has requested.
