November-January 2010 and Quartzsite PowWow

Time flies when having fun. From the last update, I forgot to mention that we did go to the Trona Onyx and rainbow ridge areas collecting for goodies in October. Thanksgiving in the Chuckwalla Springs area was ok for Chalcedony but what do you do with the stuff? Did spend 2 days looking for the allusive saginite location by Graham Pass in the Chuckwalla mountains to no luck. Did find more Chalcedony and an opalite location. I did do a great buy on Sunday with a rockhound in the Wiley Wells camp out group. In December was out collecting east of Ludlow and South of Needles for Petrified Tulies/reeds. Went with a member of the Needles Club to the needles blue agate and came home with some nice stuff. The first week of January went to Quartzsite AZ to drop stuff of for the PowWow and collected Quartzsite Dolomite. Yes I did buy some rocks at Desert Gardens. If you go to to PowWow in Quartzsite, another rockhound and I will be selling from 1/20/10-1/24/10 in booth 204. So please come by and say Hello. If you need a cheap place to stay in Quartzsite, join a bunch of us rockhounds at Quartzsite Charlie's place. I will be off to Quartzsite on Monday 1/18/10 and should be back home on 1/25/10.
