Merry Christmas and a Happy New year

12/04/2013 05:12:00

Hello again: That late September trip to Utah and Nevada was fantastic but did leave a day early when it started to snow one afternoon and the next morning a bottle of water was completely frozen up at Texas Springs Nevada digging  for limb casts. Topaz, geodes, Dinosaur poop and limb casts were found plus other wood and agates were found on this trip. Mid October was collecting more rock in the North Cady mountains. In November, 9 of us dug at the Donna claim with not much results and I took every one that went on the trip to the Cryo-Genie mine for a free tour as I know the owner. After that I wanted to show them the Lost peg claim and those that went said they want to dig there next time vs the Donna. A week after that went for dumortierite out in Imperial county. Thanksgiving was spent with a bunch of other rock hounds at Wiley's Well in Imperial County. A few of us took a side trip to a spot someone showed someone in the past and fortunately another person in our group had a 2 seated quad to get to this great rock collecting spot. Plum agate that looks like graveyard point and different colored moss agates were found. Looks like another trip there in late December or early January. I will again be at the Quartzsite QIA Pow Wow selling mostly slabs from January 22nd - 26th 2014 in space 204. More field trips will take place in the future and if you want to go on any, please send me an e-mail to be put on my list.
Merry Christmas and my you find some great minerals/rocks or crystals in your stocking vs that other mineral called coal. If any one says to you Happy Holidays then they deserve the coal because it is Christmas.
