Four different White Lighting or Iron Buffalo specimens
Four different White Lighting or Iron Buffalo specimens. As you might know, Rough White Buffalo is found in a number of locations around Tonopah NV. Both in Esmeralda and Mineral County. Some is more white than black. The black is chert. I now want to call this material White Lightning as the Otteson's has more of the white, call it White Buffalo. The material I have is more black and was found in Esmeralda county. Some of the white is straight opalized calcite, some is dolomite (opalized) and some is aragonite. All are calcite.
