White Lighting Slab. As you might know Rough White Buffalo is found in a number of locations around Tonopah NV. Both in Esmeralda and Mineral County. Some is more white than black. I now want to call this material White Lightning as the Otteson's call it White Buffalo and no Bison about it. The material I have is more black and was found in Esmeralda county. This material did not come from an Otteson claim. I did not pick up small pieces as the material is in seam-large clusters. This material I think is opalized calcite and chert. Measures about 4" x 3" x .205" or 5.21 MM thick. Weighs about 2.65 Oz. Photographed wet and slabs at an angle to stop some glare so slab in pictures look smaller.
